Villa Love is a tropical sanctuary designed around natural integration, warm materials, and flowing water bodies. Located along the serene coastline of ECR, Chennai, the project is a testament to how modern architectural design can harmoniously coexist with a lush landscape, sea breezes, and natural daylight.
The concept pivots around an open courtyard layout and deep cantilevered concrete overhangs. Massive floor-to-ceiling glass panel walls slide away completely to connect the primary living zones with a timber deck and an infinity-edge swimming pool, erasing the divide between the home and its natural surroundings.
The residence adopts a material palette of warm natural timber, local limestone flooring, and raw textured stone. These materials not only age gracefully in the coastal climate of Chennai but also evoke a premium sense of tactile warmth and organic luxury throughout the spaces.
Every design element of Villa Love is climate-responsive. Large cantilevers shield the interior spaces from the harsh tropical sun, while the alignment of the house utilizes coastal wind patterns for passive cross ventilation. This makes the villa highly energy-efficient and deeply connected to its coastal environment.
